After doing major addition-renovation projects for other clients, Jim has decided to take the plunge and make major improvements to his own house on South Wesley. Built in 1922, the traditional side entry bungalow has very large rooms with hardwood floors, leaded windows, and many features used by Frank Lloyd Wright in his designs a decade earlier.
"My desire was to renovate the rear of the first floor to modernize the kitchen and create a family room space for informal eating and viewing television, enlarge the stair to the second floor to make access and service more inviting, and renovate the entire second floor creating 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and laundry room all without significantly altering the architectural character of the original home."
